High-Tech PR Strategist Ed Bergstraesser Joins JMC Marketing Communications & PR

KINGSTON, N.Y., August 1, 2007 – Ed Bergstraesser of Rhinebeck, a former communications strategist for MCI and AT&T, has joined JMC Marketing Communications & PR as a new business consultant.

“Ed will be leading a program to bring more high-tech business that can benefit from JMC’s global, multi-platform communications,” said John Mallen, president of JMC. “In addition to prospecting in the technology space, Ed is also serving as JMC’s representative to regional technology groups.”

Bergstraesser is a communications strategist and writer with more than 20 years of experience in creative program development, with strong emphasis on media-driven project leadership, editing and public affairs.

He has experience working with Fortune 500 companies, public relations agencies, not-for-profit organizations and publishers, including development of national public relations campaigns, press materials, newsletters, annual reports, sales and general information collateral, feature articles and speeches.

Throughout his career Bergstraesser has directed corporate communications and strategic corporate relations for a number of companies including AT&T and MCI. In his consulting practice, Bergstraesser counsels, plans and manages activities for a wide range of corporate clients, including AT&T.

Bergstraesser maintains membership in the influential New York-based Creative Coalition and the Cliff Dwellers Arts Club. A winner of seven corporate communications industry awards, he is involved in the Public Relations Forum, the Strategic Management Association and the International Association for Business Communicators (IABC).
